Threebrook Seek Privacy Policy (DRAFT – pending legal review)

We never receive any of your photos, videos, recordings, documents, searches or usage data. 1. What we do not collect The Software contains no networking code: no uploads, analytics, telemetry or ads. We cannot see your files, index, searches or usage. 2. What the Software processes on your computer To make search possible, the Software reads the files in the folders you choose ("sources") and creates and stores, on your computer: (a) thumbnails and image, text and sound vectors; (b) text recognized in images, transcripts of recordings and videos, and the text of documents; (c) information stored in the files, such as capture time and camera GPS coordinates; (d) only if you turn them on: face features and people groups ("People") and place names derived from GPS coordinates ("Place names"); (e) only if you turn it on: search history (deleted automatically after 30 days). This data is stored in the "index data location" on your PC, fully encrypted, with the key protected by your Windows account. Your original files are never modified, moved or uploaded. 3. Sensitive personal information Faces and places are sensitive personal information and are off by default. You are asked for separate consent, recorded on your PC, before they are turned on; you can turn them off at any time in Settings → Privacy, which deletes the related data. 4. Information you choose to send (a) Diagnostics: a zip file is created on your PC only when you click "Export diagnostics". It contains the app version, computer configuration, index statistics and logs, with folder paths and file names replaced by placeholders. You decide whether to send it to us. (b) Check for updates: clicking it only opens our download page in your browser (the address includes your current version number); the Software itself makes no network request. (c) Activation codes: activation happens on your PC and the code is stored only there. 5. Your choices You can remove sources, delete the index of any file, turn off People and Place names, clear search history and "Not this one" feedback, or delete all index data when uninstalling. Because we hold none of your data, all of this is done directly on your PC. 6. Children The Software is intended for general users and is not directed at children; minors should use it under a guardian's guidance. 7.
